A heatwave is expected to hit Turkey during Eid al-Adha, a four-day holiday that is set to take place between July 20 and July 23 this year, a meteorologist has warned.
According to the latest figures, the temperature across the Marmara, Aegean, eastern Mediterranean, and certain parts of Central Anatolia will be around 5 to 7 degrees Celsius above the seasonal averages.

A hidden gem in the ancient Phrygian Valley has become an alternative tourist destination in western Turkey with many historical places and "fairy chimneys" it boasts.
The Üçlerkayası village in the İhsaniye district of Afyonkarahisar province is a "hidden paradise," according to Tanju Tetik, the head of the Phrygian Culture Foundation.

Süper Lig clubs can sign 16 foreign players: Federation
The Turkish Football Federation decided on Jan. 13 to increase to 16 the number of foreign players allowed on teams in the Turkish Süper Lig.
Federation chief Nihat Ozdemir said the quota will change from 14 during the second half of the Turkish top-flight football division 2020-21 season.

Turkish football league fate to be decided next week
Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President Nihat Özdemir confirmed on May 20 the date for the resumption of the league will be announced May 28.
Özdemir said previously the Super Lig would restart June 12 after being suspended in March because of the coronavirus.
