The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced the imminent start of a counter-offensive by the country's Armed Forces.
"We approved the dates for the start of the movement of our troops, the decisions were made thanks to the brigades that prepared for it," Zelensky said in a video address.
Zelensky says Russian troops in Bakhmut but town 'not occupied'
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that Russian troops were in Bakhmut -- which Moscow claimed it captured a day earlier -- but insisted the east Ukrainian town was "not occupied".
"Today they (Russian troops) are in Bakhmut," Zelensky said at a press conference during the G7 summit in Hiroshima.
But he added: "Bakhmut is not occupied by Russia today."

Organizers rejected a request from President Volodymyr Zelensky to make a video address to the final of the pan-continental music competition on May 12. He was expected to urge the world continue its support for Ukraine's fight to repel Russian invasion.
