Vucic: Esmark potential partner for Zelezara

BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said Monday that the Serbian government had shown interest in having Zelezara Smederevo steelworks privatized and Esmark was one of the credible potential partners with which to decide a final status of Zelezara in the coming period.

Vucic said this at a meeting he had with James Bouchard, chairman of the Board of Directors of the U.S. company.

The Serbian prime minister stressed the importance of preserving as many jobs as possible and of enhancing and providing additional impetus to strengthening the Serbian economy.
