Self-styled anarchists … attack scaffolding, trash bins in central Athens

Self-styled “anti-state” youth again went on a rampage in central Athens on Tuesday around the Athens polytechnic, erecting barricades next to the school and tearing down scaffolding around the building set up to clean a city-block-wide swathe of blackish graffiti around the campus’ southwest corner.

The latest bid to violently usher in a “state-less revolution” in … central Athens again involved setting fires to trash bins, parked cars and damaging a trolley bus, while another group attacked the main offices of opposition PASOK party further away.
