Bulgarian President Embarks on Five-Day Official Visit to Brazil, Argentina

Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev will be on a five-day official visit to Brazil and Argentina from Monday to Friday.

The opportunities for deepening the commercial-economic ties and investment cooperation, the EU-Latin America relations and issues from the international agenda will be among the main topics discussed with the political leaders and business representatives of the two countries.

From Monday to Wednesday, Plevneliev will be in Brazil where he will hold talks with his Brazilian counterpart Dilma Rousseff in the capital Brasilia.

An agreement for social security and a memorandum of understanding between the Bulgarian education ministry and the Brazilian national council for scientific and technological development will be signed in the presence of the two presidents.

Two business forums will be held during Plevneliev's visit to Brazil.

The Bulgarian president will meet with representatives of the Bulgarian community in Brasilia and Sao Paulo.

From Wednesday to Friday, the Bulgarian head of state will be in Argentina where he is expected to hold talks with his Argentinian counterpart Mauricio Macri on Thursday.

The signature of a memorandum of understanding between the Bulgarian and Argentinian defence ministries is foreseen to take place in the presence of the two presidents.

In the Argentinian capital, Plevneliev will unveil a joint Bulgarian-Argentinian business forum at the Argentinian chamber of commerce.

Meetings with the President of the Chamber of Deputies Emilio Monzo and representatives of local authorities are planned.

Plevneliev will meet with the Bulgarian diaspora in Buenos Aires.
