Turkey's nation post office, PTT, has issued a stamp featuring the Varda Bridge in the southern province of Adana, where some scenes from the James Bond movie "Skyfall" were filmed in 2012.

Stating that the Varda Bridge had historical importance for Turkey and Adana, PTT Adana Director Mehmet Kani Gümü?o?lu said 50,000 stamps had been printed.

"These special series of stamps promote countries. Stamps travel the world and show the beauties of their countries. We wanted to use the Varda Bridge in such a series."

He said the title of the series was "Historical Bridges," and continued:

"These stamps were printed on March 9 at the Cemal Pa?a post office and feature 09.03.2016 ADANA. Stamps have begun to disappear in the world; everything is in an electronic environment. As PTT, we issue special series to keep the tradition of stamp collecting alive."

The bridge is best remembered for a scene where actor Daniel Craig is seen falling off the bridge from a train. With the bridge's popularity after the release of the film, groups of visitors have been boarding trains to visit the bridge and its surrounding area.In Photos: Turkish police use tear gas, water cannon to disperse protestors in front of Zaman dailyIn Photos: Frozen Lake Ç?ld?r enchants visitors with shades of white and blueIn Photos: Car bomb attack hits Turkish capital, at least 27 killedHalfeti - A town of mesmerizing beautyExhibition shows Istanbul through eyes of children Secret weapons of Turkish army: locally produced rocket launchers, missile systemsThe bugs of Ankara: The weirdest scenes that anyone can run into in Turkish capitalA bird's eye view tour of Turkey's eastern provinces of Van and HakkariTurkish man with four wives has his 32nd childTurkish police...
