Partizan overcome Zielona Gora in Poland

ZIELONA GORA - Partizan Belgrade overcame Polish team Zielona Gora (18-20, 12-15, 18-19, 20-14, 13-12) in overtime on the road in Tuesday's Group E, Round 10 game of the FIBA Basketball Champions League.

Aldin Vrabac scored in the last attack to win the game for his decimated team, which was missing Novica Velickovic, Mihajlo Andric and Djordje Majstorovic due to injury and Frank Robinson and head coach Aleksandar Dzikic due to illness.

With assistant coach Nenad Canak deputising for Dzikic, Stefan Bircevic led Partizan with 19 points and 11 rebounds, Vrabac with 16 points and Branislav Ratkovica with 15.

It was the sixth win in the competition for Partizan, who will next face Hungary's Szolnok at home on January 4.
