Partizan knocked out of Basketball Champions League after thriller

BELGRADE - Partizan Belgrade have bowed out of the FIBA Basketball Champions League after losing 82-78 to PAOK Thessaloniki at home late Wednesday in the opening round of the competition's knockout stage.

Partizan won the away leg 76-74 but, at a packed Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, the Greek team made the most of the absence of Partizan's William Hatcher, Vanja Marinkovic and Milos Koprivica, as well as head coach Aleksandar Dzikic, who all missed the return game due to illness.
