ForMin Melescanu to participate in reunion of Foreign Affairs Council; among the topics -Syria status

Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Teodor Melescanu, on Monday is set to participate in the reunion of the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC), which will take place in Luxembourg, where he will discuss, among other topics, the current developments in Syria.

Other important topics on the agenda of this meeting are: the current developments in Iran, the relations between the European Union and the Russian Federation, the EU's external financial instruments in the context of the future Post-2020 Multi-annual Financial Framework, reads a release of MAE (Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

In the beginning of the reunion, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini will inform the foreign affairs ministers from the European Union member states, about the recent developments in Gaza and Venezuela.

Moreover, at an informal working lunch, the foreign affairs ministers will have an exchange of opinions with respect to the developments in the Western Balkans, with a focus on the security dimension.
