Serbian President to Seek Putin's Support on Kosovo

Serbian President said that he will ask Vladimir Putin for Russia's "concrete political support" during his meeting in Moscow on Tuesday.

"I believe we will receive it from President Putin as we had in the previous period," Vucic told the media when asked if Kosovo will be on the agenda of the meeting, Vucic's Serbian Progressive Party said on its website.

Vucic added that both bilateral relations and joint projects would also be discussed.

The Serbian President also commented on the results of the "name" referendum in Macedonia and, following the low turnout, said the EU and NATO should "show more respect for the small nations and try to understand what is happening".

Vucic added that democracy, the constitution and laws are there to be respected even when "you don't like people's decision".

"People are mature, serious in the Balkans, somebody has to understand that," he added.
