Cukaricki lose to Ferencvaros in UEFA Europa Conference League

BUDAPEST - Serbian side Cukaricki lost 3-1 away to Hungarian football giants Ferencvaros in the UEFA Europa Conference League Group F in Budapest on Thursday evening.

The hosts had a goal disallowed for offside in the 10th minute.

Djordje Ivanovic put Cukaricki in front in the 26th minute with a low driven shot from about ten yards out following a Bojica Nikcevic assist.

A penalty to Ferencvaros was rescinded in the 33rd minute after a VAR check.

Ferencvaros were awarded a penalty in the 41st minute after a foul on Kwambena Owusu and Barnabas Varga converted the spot kick to draw level.

Owusu put the hosts in the lead seven minutes into first-half injury time and Serbian Aleksandar Pesic made it 3-1 in the 79th minute by firing a deflection home past Cukaricki goalkeeper Filip Samurovic.
