The release of a further 10 Croatian nationals accused of their involvement in soccer-related clashes in Athens in August on the eve of a European qualifier match between hosts AEK and Dinamo Zagreb was ordered by a Greek court on Monday.

The number of accused Dinamo Zagreb fans that have been released, or will imminently be, now stands at 40.

The clashes between rival fans led to the death of AEK supporter Michalis Katsouris.

The investigating magistrates imposed the same restrictive conditions that applied to their 30 co-defendants who have already been released from prison, including a ban on entering Greece to attend matches and 1,000 euros in bail.

Judicial authorities will decide in the coming days on the remaining 90 or so applications for release; 102 Croats, two Greeks and one Albanian are suspects in the investigation.
