Dacic to attend UNSC meeting on UN chief's Kosovo report

A regular meeting of the United Nnations Security Council on Kosovo will be held in New York on Monday.

Serbia will be represented by the country's Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic.

Spanish actress Victoria Abril opened the 44th international film festival FEST, in a ceremony held at Belgrade's Sava Center venue late on Friday.

Nikola Ljuca's debut feature film "Humidity" was the first to be screened.

Heavy fog halts maritime traffic in Istanbul

Heavy fog blanketed Istanbul on Feb. 29 affecting transportation in the metropolis, including the cancelations of most ferry lines as well as disruptions in air traffic. 

Many city ferry lines were canceled due to the fog, which began to show its effects early in the morning.

However, ferry lines bound for the Prince Islands and the Golden Horn continued without disruption.

Serbian National Assembly to be dissolved on Thursday

The Serbian National Assembly will be dissolved on Thursday, March 3, paving the way for the calling of early parliamentary elections.

On the same day, deputies are expected to elect a new defense minister. Zoran Djordjevic, who is now the MoD's state secretary, has been proposed as the candidate.

Bulgaria's Vladimir Iliev Grabs Bronze at European Biathlon Championship

Bulgarian biathlete Vladimir Iliev won bronze medal at the men's 15-kilometre mass start of the European biathlon championship held in Tyumen, Russia on Sunday.

Iliev made two penalties in the shooting, one each in the second and third rounds and finished in 38:29.0 minutes.

The Bulgarian finished 8.5 seconds behind the winner from Germany Florian Graf.

Ambassador: Pentagon statement not official U.S. position

A Pentagon spokesman's statement about the deaths of two Serbian embassy staffers in Libya "does not reflect the official position of the U.S. administration."

This is what U.S. Ambassador Kyle Scott told Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic as they met in Belgrade on Saturday.
