Highway horror: 8 dead, at least 35 wounded/PHOTOS, VIDEOS

The Interior Ministry (MUP) announced this on Tuesday morning.

A press release said that the pile-ups happened in both directions of the highway at around 07:20 hours CET, involving multiple vehicles - more than 40 have been damaged, some completely.

B92.net has learned that 37 people have been injured, while the police put the number at between 35 and 40.

Two workers fall to their death at Belgrade Waterfront site

Belgrade's emergency medical service told the media they received a report about the incident at 09.42.

According to a spokesman of this service, Mirko Lutovac, two workers fell from a Strabag-constructed building. The ambulance crews that went to the scene found the bodies of the workers and pronounced them dead.

"New minister of finance to be proposed by end of next week"

B92.net was told by the government on Wednesday that the proposal will be announced within the legal deadline, which is 15 days after the minister's resignation.

On May 16, the Serbian National Assembly confirmed Vujovic's resignation.

The media speculated that the current mayor of Belgrade, Sinisa Mali, would replace him.

K. Albanian carrier's bus turns over, 9 injured

B92.net has learned unofficially that three persons received serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

The accident happened at around 05:00 hour CET when the bus for unknown reasons swerved into the opposite lane, drove off the road, and then turned over.

The bus belongs to a Kosovo Albanian carrier, and was traveling between Kranj in Slovenia and Pristina.

One of Bentley Case suspects shot dead in Belgrade

Unofficially, the victim was Luka Radovic, who worked as security at the Nana night club, and was previously in the media as one of the three men arrested last September in the so-called Bentley Case for cutting into the path of the Serbian president's motorcade with their car.

The suspects were detained for 20 days and had criminal charges filed against them.

Vucic to travel to Turkey together with Izetbegovic

Turkish presidency spokesman Ibrahim Kalin says Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will visit Turkey on Monday.

Tanjug reported this on Friday citing the agency Fena. B92.net was able to confirm the news later in the day.

Vucic will travel to Turkey together with Bosnian Presidency member Bakir Izetbegovic, to attend a meeting organized by the Turkish president.
