Ukraine crisis spurs Balkan countries to co-operate

Regional countries sign agreements and plan joint projects to improve security and mutual trust.

BELGRADE - Serbia's view concerning the situation in Ukraine has to be and will be completely responsible and will not be adopted by the outgoing government, Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Saturday.

BELGRADE - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik said on Saturday that a powerful Serbia was crucial for the existence of Republika Srpska (RS) within Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Serbia got "a powerful government and institutions" after the snap parliamentary poll, Dodik told a joint news conference after a meeting with Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade.

Three opposition parties in Republika Srpska, one of two entities in Bosnia, on March 19 said they were uniting into one bloc - and would talk to other interested parties prior to the elections.

SARAJEVO - Head of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Aleksandar Vucic has said that Serbia respects the territorial integrity of Bosnia-Herzegovina and is prepared to hold joint meetings of the two countries' governments.

BELGRADE - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik sent his greetings to Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic on Friday for Serbia's Statehood Day, saying that Serbia had strengthened its position domestically and internationally by moving forward with its EU integration.
