Greek high schools might not reopen Monday
The possibility of reversing the decision to reopen secondary schools this coming Monday is not being ruled out by health experts if the pandemic situation worsens.

Ministry confirms certain schools to open on Monday
The Education Ministry confirmed on Thursday that kindergartens, elementary schools and special education schools will reopen on January 11.
Meanwhile, middle and high schools will resume online classes on Friday.
Handout of €534 is due on Monday

Minister says 11,000 migrant returns pending
A total of 16,000 asylum applications were processed in Greece in April, four times the usual monthly average, according to Migration Minister Notis Mitarakis, who added that 11,000 applications have been rejected over the past two months, paving the way for returns to Turkey.

Staikouras optimistic about cuts to solidarity levy and ENFIA

Capital controls to be eased further
The government is considering further easing of the capital controls it imposed 32 months ago, Skai Radio reported on Friday.
In cooperation with the Bank of Greece, the Finance Ministry is planning for bank customers to be allowed to withdraw 2,300 euros from each account each month, up from the current ceiling of 1,800 euros.

Finance Ministry plans further easing of capital controls
The government is considering a further easing of the capital controls it imposed 32 months ago, Skai Radio reported on Friday.
The Finance Ministry, in cooperation with the Bank of Greece, is planning for bank clients to be allowed to withdraw 2,300 euros per month per account, up from the current ceiling of 1,800 euros.
Mitsotakis eyes tax cuts
