Code Yellow Warning in Force for Half of Bulgaria
Bulgaria's weather service has issued an alert for snowfall and heavy winds in Eastern Bulgaria.
Fifteen of the country's twenty-eight regions are affected. These include Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Ruse, Shumen, Targovishte, Razgrad, Silistra, Dobrich, Varna, Burgas, Sliven, Yambol, Stara Zagora, Haskovo and Kardzhali.

Moderate Earthquake Rocks Romania's Vrancea
A 5-6 magnitude quake hit Vrancea county in Romania early Wednesday and was felt across Bulgaria, seismologists and media report.
There are no reports of injured people after the quake.
The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre measured its epicenter at a depth of 98 km beneath the surface, 148 km north of the capital Bucharest and 8 km west of Nereju.

Clashes at Anti-Roma Rally in Radnevo, Bulgaria
Three policemen and four protesters suffered injuries after violent clashes broke out the rally in Radnevo, the Bulgarian interior ministry said on Thursday.
Around 2,000 people joined the protest on Wednesday evening, following an incident in which four men of Roma origin assaulted three Bulgarians in a street row on Monday.

Bulgarian Cabinet to Allocate BGN 5 M to Special Police Force
The Bulgarian government decided to allocate slightly over BGN 5.1 M for the purchase of equipment to be used by the specialised police forces and the gendarmerie.
This was announced by the deputy chief secretary of the interior ministry Georgi Abadzhiev at a briefing on Friday.

Bulgarian authorities have been conducting large-scale inspections of petrol stations over the weekend.
As of Sunday, authorities prevented the distribution of nearly 29 000 litres of fuel, the interior ministry's press service informs.
Petrol stations in Sofia, Varna, Burgas, Pleven and Harmanli were shut down for selling low quality fuel.
