Bosnia Requests Appeal in Serbia Genocide Case

Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday filed a request for an appeal against the International Court of Justice's 2007 verdict which cleared the Serbian state of direct responsibility for genocide in Bosnia during the 1992-95 war.

The legal team of Bosnia-Herzegovina on Thursday filed a letter requesting a revision of the ICJ verdict on that country's genocide lawsuit against Serbia.

EUR 285 million from IPA funds for cross-border cooperation

A total of EUR 284 million from EU's IPA funds cross-border cooperation will become available to Serbia by 2020.

This concerns cooperation with Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Macedonia, Croatia and two transnational program of cooperation – the Danube program and the Adriatic-Ionian program.

Bosnian, Albanian added to Turkish Education Ministry's curriculum

Bosnian and Albanian have been added to the list of foreign languages available to be taught at secondary schools by the Turkish Education Ministry, the state-run Anadolu Agency reported on Feb. 23.

The ministry added the two languages as electives of "Living Languages and Dialects" subject.

Ljajic: Revision of lawsuit to have political consequences

BELGRADE - A revision of Bosnia-Herzegovina's genocide lawsuit against Serbia will have political consequences, Serbian Deputy PM Rasim Ljajic said Monday.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has to date not upheld a single request for revision, Ljajic told reporters.

Nikolic and Vucic set to meet with Dodik and Ivanic

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and PM Aleksandar Vucic will meet with RS President Milorad Dodik and Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency Chairman Mladen Ivanic.

The meeting will be held in Belgrade on Wednesday, starting at 14:00 CET, it was announced late on Tuesday, Tanjug reported.

Bosnian Presidency to hold special meeting on Thursday

Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina Mladen Ivanic on Monday called for a special session of the tripartite body for Thursday.

Serbian President Nikolic Abandons Bid for Second Term

After a tense few days, Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic has decided not to run for another term in this spring's presidential elections.

Bosnian Croats Win Re-run Poll in Divided Stolac

The main Bosnian Croat party, the Croatian Democratic Union, HDZ, pulled off an expected victory in the heavily monitored renewed elections in the divided southwestern town of Stolac, Bosnia's Central Election Commission reported.

HDZ candidate Stjepan Boskovic was elected new-old mayor of Stolac and the HDZ also won 49 per cent of the votes for the town council.
