CHP leader calls on all politicians to announce forex accounts

The head of Turkey's main opposition party has called on all politicians, especially political leaders, to reveal their wealth in either Turkish Lira or foreign currency, noting that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's request that Turkish citizens convert their foreign exchange into liras or gold could not exclude anyone. 

One-year halt in Turkey, Russia ties 'over': Turkish PM

A year-long hiatus in relations between Russia and Turkey is over, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım said Dec. 6 in his first visit to Moscow as prime minister.

"We see altogether that an unfortunate one-year period is over," state-run Anadolu Agency quoted Yıldırım as saying during the open part of his meeting with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in Moscow.

Germany's beauty firm Douglas to quit Turkey

German perfume and cosmetics retailer Douglas has closed its 11 stores in Turkey because its market share is too small and unlikely to grow, a spokeswoman said on Dec. 5.

The spokeswoman was confirming a report in Germany's monthly Manager Magazin.
