Anatolia College coronavirus fund raises more than 56,000 euros
A fund launched by Anatolia College in Thessaloniki to respond to the coronavirus crisis has so far raised more than 56,000 euros from more than 320 donors worldwide.
Organizers said the funds will be used to supply the intensive care unit of the northern port city's AHEPA hospital with valuable equipment and medical supplies.

4th coronavirus death confirmed
A fourth death from the coronavirus has been confirmed in Greece. The patient, a 53-year-old man, died early Sunday, in Thessaloniki. He had been rushed to the AHEPA hospital from the citiy of Kozani in critical condition Tuesday. He is the youngest fatality thus far, but like the other three, had a serious underlying disease.

Greek authorities seeking people ‘patient zero’ came into contact with
Authorities on Wednesday were trying to identify and locate everyone who came into contact over the past two days with a 38-year-old woman who became the first patient in Greece to test positive for the novel coronavirus, in the northern port city of Thessaloniki.
Coronavirus: Latest suspected case tests negative in Thessaloniki
Thessaloniki health officials say testing has cleared another possible case of coronavirus.
The man, who had travelled to China in December, had been admitted to the northern port city's Ahepa hospital with symptoms resembling those of the Wuhan virus. A sample of his DNA had been sent to the Pasteur Institute.

Bulgarian climber dies of injuries sustained on Mount Olympus trail
A 25-year-old Bulgarian climber died while scaling Mount Olympus on Monday, state-run news agency ANA-MPA reported.
The man was injured and trapped at the trail near Kofto, at an altitude of 2,300 meters. He was rescued by fellow climbers who transferred him to the Zolota refuge and from there he was airlifted to AHEPA hospital in Thessaloniki.

Four teens killed, one injured in Thessaloniki crash
Four teenagers were killed and another injured in the early hours of Tuesday on the outskirts of Thessaloniki after the car they were in veered off the road and crashed into a wall.
The crash occurred at around 3.30 a.m. in the area of Evosmos, on the corner of Anageniseos and Smyrnis streets, just above the Thessaloniki ring road, according to the ANA-MPA news agency.
Municipal engineer dies in Thessaloniki following workplace accident
A 47-year-old mechanical engineer working for the Municipality of Thessaloniki died on Tuesday at the northern port city's AHEPA hospital due to injuries sustained on the job on July 21, the state-run Athens-Macedonia News Agency has reported.
