Police, gendarmerie, and State Agency "National Security" (SANS) officials launched a coordinated operation, conducting searches at Bankova's office and residence, as well as her deputy Ludmil Marinov's premises.

Rozalia Dimitrova has been appointed new head of Bulgaria's Customs Agency following the death of Vanyo Tanov, the agency announced in a statement on Tuesday.

The two underground tanks contained 4 tonnes of diesel fuel without any documents. An illegal gas pump was connected to the tanks.
