Decision on jailed ethnic Greek mayor pushed to after polls
In a decision aiming to undermine the candidacy with New Democracy in the European elections of the jailed ethnic Greek mayor of Himare, the Albanian judiciary has transferred the first hearing of Fredi Beleri's appeal to the Court of Appeal to June 7.
Fugitive judge heading to jail after 19 years
The fugitive ex-judge Antonia Ilia appeared before a Court of Appeal on Friday after her extradition from the UK and is expected to be transferred to the Eleonas Prison in Thiva.
She had been sentenced to 13 years in prison for money laundering in 2005 in absentia as she had already left the country.

Last two floors of Athens hotel have been sealed
The last two floors and the rooftop bar of the Coco-Mat hotel in the Makrigianni area of central Athens that had been declared illegal for exceeding the height of 24 meters were sealed last week by the Ministry of Tourism, after the Court of Appeal rejected the suspension request submitted by the owner company.

Crackdown on urban guerrilla groups
The police's Anti-Terrorism Division launched raids in different parts of Athens on Tuesday that were most likely linked to a parcel bomb that was sent to the prosecutor of the Appeal Court of Thessaloniki earlier in the month.

Unknown group claims responsibility for failed bomb attack at Thessaloniki courthouse
A previously unknown anarchist guerrilla group group identifying themselves as "Armed Response" has claimed responsibility for the failed bomb attack against a judge at the Thessaloniki courthouse in northern Greece last week, the third such incident since December.

A terminally ill baby at the center of a legal battle involving her parents, British health officials and the Italian government has died, a group supporting her family said Monday.
Christian Concern said Indi Gregory died in a hospice on Monday morning after her life support was withdrawn on Sunday.
