Schools not Observing Anti-Epidemic Measures Will Be Closed - Ministry of Education

The Ministry of Educaion and Science  will close schools where  the anti-epidemic measures are not observed,stated  Minister of Education Nikolay Denkov. Bulgaria in Figures: Unemployment down 14% in July - Employment Agency

Ministry of Education Suspends Student Summer Camps in 20 Districts due to COVID-19

The Ministry of Education and Science (MES) has stopped summer camps under the national program "Together Again" in 20 districts with more than 100 infected per 100,000 people in the last 14 days. Already planned trips to such destinations can be redirected to other places in safer regions. If this is not possible, they will not take place, the ministry's press office said.

Survey: Over 70% of Staff is Vaccinated in only 4% of Schools in Bulgaria

Over 70% of the staff has been vaccinated against COVID-19 in only 4% of the schools in Bulgaria. In kindergartens this share is 3%. In almost two thirds of the schools the vaccinated pedagogical and non-pedagogical specialists are less than 30%, in the kindergartens this is the situation in 75% of the teams.

Supercomputer Vega launched in Slovenia

Maribor – Supercomputer Vega was formally launched in Maribor on Tuesday, putting Slovenia on the global map of computer super powers. It is the first in a series of eight planned high-performance computing (HPC) centres in the EU.

Vega is a 6.9 petaflops supercomputer, which means it can do 6.9 million billion computing operations per second, and it cost EUR 17.2 million.

Google Digital Tools to Be Available to Bulgarian Students, Teachers

Google will provide some of its digital tools for collaboration and productivity for all students and teachers in Bulgaria, according to a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Education and Science and the technology company, the Ministry's press office said on Monday.
