BELGRADE - Serbian PM Designate Milos Vucevic, who will present his programme to MPs on Wednesday, announced Maja Gojkovic had been given the mandate to form the new government of Serbia's Vojvodina province.

Vucevic was speaking to reporters after a session of the presidency of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party.

NOVI SAD - The head of government of Serbia's Vojvodina province Igor Mirovic spoke with the Vice President of France's Ile-de-France region Florence Portelli in Novi Sad on Thursday about strengthening of mutual ties in the economy and culture, the provincial government said in a statement.

The wife of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, the Minister of Education of the Brandenburg province, Britta Ernst (SPD), has resigned from that position.
So far, she has not given a reason for such a decision.
