Rector at center of controversy "to resign"

New statute "won't diminish Vojvodina's autonomy"

BELGRADE -- Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojković has said that the new draft of the Statute of Vojvodina does not diminish the province's autonomy.

"No pension cuts until PM says so"

BELGRADE -- Deputy Prime Minister Ivica Dačić has siad there would be no reduction of pensions "until Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić says so."

He added that government policy "can only be conducted by its president, not its ministers individually."

Serbia marked International Roma Day on April 8 with debates about the poor social and economic position of the Roma community and exhibitions about their culture.
