Bosnia Arrests Gang for Robbing in France

Bosnian police in cooperation with colleagues in France have arrested seven persons and raided several sites, targeting organized crime rings and human traffickers. The raids took place in Zenica, Vlasenica, Jajce and Prijedor.

The joint action, code-named CD, targeted human traffickers in relation to labour exploitation, stealing and begging in France.

Bosnian officials have renewed calls for the dismissal of Goran Zubac, director of the State Investigative and Protection Agency, SIPA, after the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in a first instance ruling sentenced him to a year's probation for neglecting his duties during the protests last February.

'Dozens' of Suspects in Bosnian Bank Robbery

Bosnia's State Investigative and Protection Agency, SIPA, said on Wednesday that it suspected 32 bank employees took some part in the theft of 600,000 KM [300,000 euro] from the vault of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

One Central Bank employee, Nedzad Bajraktarevic, was arrested for the crime last December and remains in detention.
