The foreign minister and SPS party leader said the gathering will last several hours, starting at 16:00 CET, and will be "ten, fifteen times more massive" than the opposition rally held in Belgrade last Saturday.

The ceremony, that included highest military honors, was organized to mark Victory Day over fascism in the Second World War, which President Aleksandar Vucic is spending in Moscow.

The Progressives (SNS), led by Aleksandar Vucic, and the Socialists (SPS), led by Ivica Dacic, are coalition partners in the current Serbian government.

Farmakom MB owner arrested on corruption charges

BELGRADE -- Farmakom MB owner Miroslav Bogićević was arrested on Monday, the police have confirmed.

The arrest of the well-known businessman from the town of Šabac comes amid the media focus on him, Goran Perčević, and Željko Žunić, over allegations of financial fraud involving loans worth millions of euros.

Former minister testifies in corruption probe

The group is accused of causing damages to the state-owned pharmaceutical company worth EUR 75 million.
