Blast near parade wounds 2 in Kyiv
Two people were hurt in a blast caused by an "unknown object" in central Kyiv on Aug. 24 as Ukraine celebrated Independence Day, officials said, suggesting it could be the work of hooligans.
The incident, which occurred as U.S. Defence Secretary Jim Mattis was visiting the country, occurred near the site of a military parade.

An explosion killed two people and wounded 11 on Feb. 22 in Ukraine's government-controlled eastern city of Kharkiv, officials said.
The explosion happened during a pro-Ukrainian march marking the one-year anniversary of the overthrow of the country's former pro-Kremlin president.

Protesters Seize Donetsk, Luhansk Security HQ
Activists have taken control over Ukrainian Security Service's headquarters in Donetsk and Luhansk.
Ukrainian police reported that "unknown people" had "seized weapons" after breaking into security headquarters in Luhansk, as they were quoted by the BBC.
