Vucevic: Gojkovic PM designate for Vojvodina province
BELGRADE - Serbian PM Designate Milos Vucevic, who will present his programme to MPs on Wednesday, announced Maja Gojkovic had been given the mandate to form the new government of Serbia's Vojvodina province.
Vucevic was speaking to reporters after a session of the presidency of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party.

NOVI SAD - The electoral list headed by Aleksandar Vucic's Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) won 52.50 percent of the seats in the Vojvodina Assembly following the provincial elections on Sunday, Jelena Zlojutro of the Provincial Election Commission (PIK) said Monday.
Election silence begins in Serbia
BELGRADE - Election silence, which will remain in place until the closure of polling stations at 8 pm Sunday, began at midnight in Serbia, banning political parties from engaging in pre-election activities.
From 7 am Sunday, when the polling stations open, Serbian citizens will elect the new national parliament and the Vojvodina provincial assembly, as well as most local assemblies.

Democratic Party official Borislav Novakovic arrested
BELGRADE - The police have arrested head of the Democratic Party (DS) group in the Automonous Province of Vojvodina Assembly and former director of the public enterprise Zavod za izgradnju grada Novi Sad Borslav Novakovic and another three individuals on suspicion that they have damaged the city of Novi Sad budget by EUR 4 million.
