Over 20,000 people protest in front of Government building
Bucharest, Aug 10 /Agerpres/ - Over 20,000 people are protesting in front of the Government building in Victoria Square in central Bucharest.
A part of those present have repeatedly tried to force the fences put up by the gendarmerie. They have replied with tear gas and a water cannon.
Some 10,000 people protest in front of Government building
Some 10,000 people are protesting on Friday in front of the Government, in Victoriei Square, where several incidents have occurred between the demonstrators and the police forces.
Those present are chanting slogans such as "Resignation, Resignation!", "Diaspora is with us!", "Unity, unity!", "We want the country back" and are waving the national flag and the European Union one.

Over 1,000 persons protested on Thursday outside the Gov't headquarters after Justice Minister Tudorel Toader's announcement regarding the initiation of the the procedure for removing from office Chief Prosecutor of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) Laura Codruta Kovesi.

A few hundreds of persons gathered on Thursday evening in Victoriei Square, in order to protest against the initiation of the procedure for removing from office Chief Prosecutor of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) Laura Codruta Kovesi, that was announced by Justice Minister Tudorel Toader.
