Danielsson: Serbia's reforms impressive

BELGRADE - The economic reforms being implemented by Serbia are impressive, and next Monday's intergovernmental conference, at which Serbia will open Chapters 20 and 26 in its EU accession talks, will be a step forward, says Christian Danielsson, the European Commission's Director General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations.

Danielsson: Strong support for modernisation of Serbia

OBRENOVAC - The European Commission's Director General for Enlargement Christian Danielsson toured on Friday the Nikola Tesla power plant complex in Obrenovac and underscored on the occasion the EU's strong support for the modernisation of Serbia.

With the opening of another two chapters in the EU accession process on Monday, Serbia will make further steps forward, Danielsson said.

Dacic: Izetbegovic's move threat to stability of BiH, region

BELGRADE - The initiative for a revision of the ICJ ruling on Bosnia and Herzegovina's genocide lawsuit against Serbia - launched by Bakir Izetbegovic, the Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency - is deeply contrary to efforts to achieve comprehensive reconciliation in the region, Serbian FM Ivica Dacic has said, noting this was a threat to the stability of BiH and the region.

Serbia good example of responsible EU candidate country

BELGRADE - Serbian EU Integration Minister Jadranka Joksimovic and Christian Danielsson, the European Commission's Director General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, on Thursday welcomed the planned opening of Chapters 20 and 26 in Serbia's accession talks, noting their pace was solid and a positive signal for further reforms and progress on the European path.
