Bakoyannis criticizes gov't for failing to compensate PSI victims
New Democracy MP Dora Bakoyannis on Wednesday criticized the conservative-led government for failing to take action to compensate about 15,000 small bondholders hurt by Greece's debt restructuring program, or PSI, in 2012.
ND marks 25th anniversary of Pavlos Bakoyannis assasination
New Democracy officials over the weekend marked the 25th anniversary since the assassination by the November 17 terrorist group of conservative politician Pavlos Bakoyannis, late husband of ND cadre Dora Bakoyannis and brother-in-law of Administrative Reform Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Defense Minister Avramopoulos to represent Greece at European Commission
Current Defense Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos will be Greeces representative on the new European Commission, which will be named later this year.
Prime Minister Antonis Samaras wrote on Sunday to Commission President-elect Jean-Claude Juncker, who is due to visit Athens on August 4, to inform him of his decision to send Avramopoulos to Brussels.

Speculation over who will become Greeces next European commissioner continued during the weekend, with Defense Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos emerging as the frontrunner to succeed Maria Damanaki.
