Boryana Kaleyn secured victory and Stiliana Nikolova clinched second place in the women's all-around competition at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup held in Sofia.

Bulgaria's female competitors won the team title at the 40th World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in the Spanish city of Valencia. Thus, the team takes the gold again after a break of 30 years, BTA reported.

Bulgarian athletes completely dominated and won a record 13 medals at the 39th European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Baku. Boryana Kaleyn, Stiliyana Nikolova, Eva Brezalieva and the ensembles for women and girls won five gold, five silver and three bronze medals. Thus, Bulgaria finished in first place in the medal ranking, ahead of Italy and Israel.

Boryana Kaleyn, Stiliyana Nikolova, Eva Brezalieva and the Bulgarian rhythmic gymnastics ensemble became team champions at the European Championships in Baku.

After Boryana Kaleyn won the all-around title earlier yesterday, the ensemble also won the gold medals.

The Bulgarian ensemble won the world title in the all-around at the rhythmic gymnastics world championship in Sofia. Radina Tomova, Zhenina Trashlieva, Rachel Stoyanov, Sofia Ivanova, Kamelia Petrova and Margarita Vasileva triumphed in their debut at a similar forum, in front of their home audience.
