Nunn renews PAO contract

In the wake of Panathinaikos' qualification on Tuesday to the Final Four of the Euroleague basketball championship in Berlin later in the month, the Athens club confirmed on Wednesday that the former Miami Heat guard Kendrick Nunn, who dazzled fans during the playoffs, has renewed his contract with until the end of the 2025-2026 season. 

Panathinaikos beats Maccabi to reach the Final Four

Panathinaikos is returning to the Euroleague Final Four after 12 long years, thanks to its emphatic 81-72 victory against Maccabi Tel Aviv in Athens on Tuesday that saw the Greens win the quarterfinal series 3-2.

Game 5 of this very entertaining playoff tie was pretty much like the first four games, i.e. balanced and hard-fought, with the lead changing hands several times.

Greens finish second, Reds to face Barcelona

Panathinaikos and Olympiakos have achieved their objectives at the end of the regular season of the Euroleague, as their home wins this week have taken them to the second and fifth spot of the final standings, respectively.

The Greens defeated lowly Alba Berlin 84-75 and finished second only to holder Real Madrid, with 23 wins and 11 defeats after 34 games.

Greece's Euroleague representatives recorded statement victories on the road this week, showing they could both reach the Final Four of the tournament at the end of the season.

Panathinaikos beat Real Madrid in Spain on Thursday for the first time in 11 years, with an emphatic 97-86 score and a performance that should be the compass for the rest of the remaining away games.

Cup triumph for Olympiakos over the Greens

Olympiakos won the second trophy of the year, after the Super Cup in September, lifting the Greek Cup in Crete on Sunday beating archrival Panathinaikos in the final.

The Reds defeated the Greens 69-58 in Iraklio, at the "Dyo Aorakia" court, after beating Promitheas Patras in the semifinals on Saturday, while Panathinaikos had eliminated Aris.

Reds and Greens blow their lead to lose on the road

Both Panathinaikos and Olympiakos suffered defeats on the road on Thursday for the Euroleague, probably not doing themselves any justice for their efforts in Belgrade and Monaco respectively.

The Greens went down 92-87 at Partizan in overtime, after wasting a 10-point led in the last few minutes of regulation.
