Two arrested on suspicion of attacking statistical office chief
BELGRADE - Two people have been arrested on suspicion of physically attacking the head of the national statistical office, Miladin Kovacevic, outside the building of the national electoral commission in downtown Belgrade on Monday evening.

Voter turnout as of 10 am at 9.94 pct - commission
BELGRADE - The voter turnout in Sunday's elections in Serbia was 9.94 pct as of 10 am, the head of the national statistical office, Miladin Kovacevic, told a press conference at the offices of the national electoral commission.
By comparison, in the previous elections, held on April 3 last year, the turnout as of 10 am was 9.59 pct, Kovacevic said.

The REC announced that by 6 p.m. on the territory of the Republic of Serbia, without Kosovo and Metohija, 50.82 percent of voters out of 6.502.307 total registered voters went to the polls.

Serbia's real GDP growth at 1.9 pct, exports up by 13 pct
BELGRADE - Overall economic activity in Serbia in 2017, measured by GDP and expressed in constant prices, is estimated to have reached a real growth of 1.9 pct compared to 2016, the national statistical office RZS said in a statement on Friday.
According to estimates, gross fixed capital formation registered a real growth of 5.3 pct compared to last year, the RZS said.
