Monica Bellucci attended the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival on Thursday night, where she was celebrated with an honorary Golden Alexander award. 

The screening of her new film "Maria Callas: Letters and Memoirs" attracted large crowds outside the Olympion Theater on Wednesday evening, evidence of the mark she has left internationally through her career. 

The 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival commenced on Thursday, promising a total of 270 feature-length and short film screenings across the northern port city accompanied by podcasts, workshops, art shows, parties and more. 

Most would agree the 1988 film "Beetlejuice" is a classic. And two of the main creative forces behind the macabre and comedic movie - titular star Michael Keaton and visionary director Tim Burton - say they plan to stick closely to the iconic film as they tackle its long-awaited sequel.

Renowned Italian actress and beauty icon Monica Bellucci will portray the iconic Greek soprano Maria Callas in Istanbul on Dec. 14.

The legendary actress will be in the Turkish metropolis to perform a monologue based on unpublished letters of the great soprano entitled "Maria Callas: Letters and Memories."

The performance will take place at Zorlu PSM Turkcell Stage.
