Nick Cave is coming to Athens this June, and he'll be in great company - Radiohead bassist Colin Greenwood. The two musicians have toured the US and Australia, earning rave reviews and selling out shows, and now it's Europe's turn. Onassis Stegi (107-109 Syngrou) has secured not one but three dates in this series of shows.

Montreux Jazz Festival gets back into the swing
The Montreux Jazz Festival is to return this summer promising a "dizzying panorama of sound" after two years muted by the pandemic, with Diana Ross, Bjork, Stormzy and Herbie Hancock in the line-up unveiled on April 13.

Punk legend wins Polar Prize
U.S. punk icon Iggy Pop and French contemporary music ensemble Ensemble intercontemporain on Feb. 8 won Sweden's Polar Music Prize, the organization behind the award said.
The laureates will receive their award, which includes a one million kronor (96,000 euros, $110,000) cash prize, at a ceremony in Stockholm on May 24.

Nick Cave concert in Istanbul
As part of the 50th year celebrations of the Foundation for Istanbul Culture and Arts (IKSV), Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds will perform at Istanbul's Parkorman on Aug 21. Tickets for the concert will go on sale on Feb 14.

Australian rock legend Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds are headlining this year's Ejekt Fetsival at Plateia Nerou (Water Square) in Palaio Faliro on Athens's southern coast, in a lineup that also includes English rockers Editors and Wolf Alice, and American act Protomartyr in its first appearance in Greece. Doors open at 5 p.m.
