Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on April 10 extended his condolences to Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, over two Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) church attacks in the country in a phone call, marking a rare diplomatic interaction between the two countries since relations soured after the ouster of Mohamad Morsi in 2013.

BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic on Thursday received Egypt's Ambassador to Belgrade, Ezzeldin Fahmy.

They discussed ways of improving bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, in particular, current issues in multilateral diplomacy and cooperation in the UN and its agencies, the Serbian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

During the Organization of Islamic Cooperation summit in Istanbul, I twice gave a standing ovation to President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an's opening speech as the host of the event. 

Tense relations between Turkey and Egypt could soon give way to reconciliation as Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry attended the 13th Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit in Istanbul and handed the term presidency to Turkey.

Egypt criticized its foreign partners on Nov. 7 for ignoring calls to work harder to combat terrorism, after Western intelligence sources said there were signs Islamist militants may have bombed the Russian plane which crashed in Sinai. 

A ministerial-level summit on the future of Syria that has started on Oct. 29, less than a week after an initial four-way meeting, will bring together a wider range of countries, including ones with whom Turkey is at diplomatic loggerheads, as well as Iran.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Iraq's Deputy Foreign Minister Nazar al-Khairalla will attend international talks on the Syrian crisis taking place on Oct. 30 in Vienna.

Iran, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's closest regional ally, is also expected to attend following a request from Moscow for wider participation.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov held a meeting with a senior Turkish diplomat on Oct. 18 in Istanbul, Turkish diplomatic sources said.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will meet have a series of meeting on Monday.

Specifically, Mr. Tsipras will meet Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders at noon and Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry at 15:00.

At 13:15 on Monday afternoon he will meet Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

Within the framework of his participation in Ministerial Week of the 70th UN General Assembly, in New York City, Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias will have a working breakfast today, Tuesday, 29 September, with the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).
