PM Designate Vucevic to present programme Wednesday, gov't to have eight new ministers
BELGRADE - Serbia's PM Designate Milos Vucevic announced on Tuesday he would request a parliament session for Wednesday, May 1, to present his government's programme and work plan to MPs and propose the cabinet members.

Mercator still in the red despite higher sales in 2021
Ljubljana – Mercator, the leading grocery group in Slovenia, generated EUR 2.2 billion in sales revenue in 2021, up 1.6% over 2020, while its net loss decreased from almost EUR 157,000 to EUR 2,150, shows its annual report released on Monday.
Croatia Freezes Petrol and Diesel Prices for 30 Days
Prime Minister Andrej Plenković announced on Thursday that diesel and petrol prices will be frozen for 30 days as part of an effort to control soaring prices.
"We have, taking into consideration the economic circumstances and the unpredictability of oil prices, and, with the aim of maintaining economic recovery, decided to stabilise petrol and diesel prices," he said.
Mercator returns to profit in H1
Ljubljana – Retail group Mercator posted a net profit of EUR 10.6 million in the first half of the year after reporting a loss of EUR 69 million in the same period a year ago due to property revaluation and writedowns. Sales revenue was down 0.4% to EUR 1.1 billion.

Fortenova increases its share in Mercator to 89.11%
Ljubljana/Zagreb – Croatia’s Fortenova Group increased its share in Slovenian retail group Mercator from 88.1% to 89.11% during a takeover bid for the remaining 724,764 Mercator shares Fortenova does not already own. A total of 154 Mercator shareholders accepted Fortenova’s offer of EUR 36 per share in cash.
Mercator group’s net loss at EUR 69m in first nine months
Ljubljana – The retail group Mercator saw its sales revenue rise by 2.1% to EUR 1.6 billion in the first nine months compared to the same period last year, but the group operated with a net loss, which climbed to EUR 69m, shows a report released on Thursday.

Bulgaria's Ex-PM Knew About Irregularities in EU Funding on Education
Former Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has admitted to being aware of irregularities in an operational program managed by the Education Ministry back in 2016, while he was in office.
Borisov, however, has made it clear he refrained from radical action on purpose to preserve the stability of the government.
Serbia Prepares for First Royal Wedding in Decades
Prince Mihailo Karadjordjevic, a grandson of King Alexander I, is preparing a Serbian church wedding after he and his wife married in a civil ceremony in London.
The wedding will take place on Sunday, October 23, at St George's Church in Oplenac, near Topola in central Serbia, where members of the Karadjordjevic dynasty are buried, and which is also the royal family's home region.
