Former police officer released in graft probe
An Istanbul court ordered on Feb. 9 the release of a former police officer who was arrested in a probe over the alleged "parallel state" conspiracy.
Istanbul's 13th High Penal Court decided in a unanimous vote to release Hüseyin Korkmaz who had been detained 17 months ago.

Gülen, former police chiefs go on trial over corruption case
Some 69 people, including the U.S.-based Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen and former police chiefs, formally went on trial on Jan. 6, accused of attempting to topple the Turkish government through the corruption investigations that went public in Dec. 2013.
Gülen, PKK leaders remain on Turkey's 'most wanted' list
The Interior Ministry has updated its list of "wanted terrorists," which with 101 new names added now includes a total of 676 names.
In total, the list included 583 names linked to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
The ministry ranks those included on the list in five color-coded categories from red (most wanted), down to blue, green, orange and grey.
US court gives Gülen 21 days to present his defense
The extradition of U.S.-based Islamic scholar Fethullah Gülen was "unofficially" demanded in a civil suit filed last week by lawyers hired by the Turkish government, while a judge who accepted the appeal has given Gülen 21 days to respond to accusations filed against him.
