Fire breaks out in Viotia
A wildfire broke out in low vegetation in Viotia, northwest of Athens, on Friday.
The Fire Service said ground and air forces were at the area of Agia Triada, together with a team from arson unit. It was not clear if authorities had found indications that the blaze was an arson.

Syntagma metro station to close during Independence Day parades
Syntagma metro station will be closed on Sunday, March 24, and Monday, March 25, from 8 a.m. until the parades marking Greece's Independence Day have been completed.
Transport operator STASY said trains will pass through Syntagma station without stopping.
Legacy of the Cretan Renaissance
The Technical University of Crete's School of Architecture has drafted a proposal for the redevelopment of the Holy Trinity (Agia Triada) Tzagaroli Monastery, one of the most splendid monastic complexes of the Cretan Renaissance which stretches back to the 17th century. The proposal also envisages its conversion into a Patriarchal Research Foundation.

Ecumenical Patriarch Vartholomaios on Wednesday hailed a "highly symbolic" visit by Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to the Halki Orthodox Seminary on an island off the Istanbul coast.

Turk burns Christian church in Istanbul after a dream
Every so often Greek property is desecrated in Turkey as a result of racial hatred. Oftentimes these actions are spurred by political tension between the two countries. The situation reached a new low on Tuesday night when a man tried to firebomb the Agia Triada Church (Holy Trinity Church) of Kadikoy, Istanbul, on the city’s Asian side after seeing a dream with Jesus Christ.

A Greek Orthodox church's door was set ablaze in the evening of June 9 in the Kad?köy district on Istanbul's Anatolia side.
A door of the Hagia Triada Greek Orthodox Church was set on fire on June 9 by Muhammed ?imdi, 25, who reportedly suffers from a mental illness. The church is located on Nispetiye Street, a side street of Bahariye, Kad?köy's main thoroughfare.
