BELGRADE -- The new Serbian parliament was constituted on Wednesday as the MPs took the oath of office after their mandates were approved.
The parliament speaker, the deputy speaker and the members of parliamentary bodies will be elected at a session scheduled for April 23.

Most MP group leaders chosen
BELGRADE - The leaders and deputies of most of eleven MP groups in the new parliament have been chosen after the constitutive session of the Serbian parliament on Wednesday.
As Tanjug was told at the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), Zoran Babic will again lead the party's MP group in the parliament, with Maja Gojkovic as his deputy.

BELGRADE -- SPS Vice President Slavica Đukić-Dejanović said on Tuesday that it was "highly likely" that Ivica Dačić will become a member of Serbia's new government.
Dačić is the leader of the Socialists (SPS) and serves prime minister and interior minister in the now caretaker cabinet.
