Croats, too, wish to "contain Russia"; join NATO effort

Croatia will this year send a battery of multiple rocket launchers to Poland, and 120 soldiers and eight armored vehicles to Lithuania next year.

They will be taking part in the military deployments dubbed "Operation Enhanced Forward Presence," led by Americans and headquartered in Orzysz, Poland, and in Rukla, Lithuania, Sputnik is reporting.

Government completes removal of military units from city centers after failed coup

The Turkish government has completed the removal of military units from city centers, including Istanbul and the capital Ankara, as part of measures taken in the aftermath of the failed coup attempt of July 15. 
The relocation process has included key military divisions in the capital with their tanks, armored vehicles, and all their military equipment. 

Bulgarian, US Land Forces to Conduct Joint Military Training in Novo Selo

Bulgarian and US land forces will conduct joint military training at the Novo Selo training area between April 4 and May 16.

JOINT TRAINING - 1 will take place in two stages, with around 250 US servicemen to participate in it, the Bulgarian defence ministry informs.

If the US ask us for permission to deploy tanks or other armoured vehicles, at this point our answer is "No", Vice Admiral Rumen Nikolov, Chief of Defense Staff of Bulgaria, told the BGNES wire service.

"There is no reason for stirring of panic about the deployment of US or any other foreign tanks and armoured vehicles on Bulgarian territory," Nikolov said.

Joint military exercise Srem 2014 begins

NIKINCI - Serbian and Russian troops started off a joint exercise entitled Srem 2014 at the training centre in Nikinci on Friday.

Serbia's Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic, diplomatic corps officials and reporters from Serbia and abroad were present for the start of the event, which will involve 404 members of the two countries' armed forces.
