3rd Danube Business Forum to be held on October 27-29
BELGRADE - The 3rd Danube Business Forum will be held on October 27-29 in Belgrade and Novi Sad, the organisers announced on Wednesday.
The event is expected to bring together 800 participants - leaders in the fields of energy, water, agribusiness, transport, ITC, entrepreneurship and the creative industry in the Danube region, which includes 14 countries.
Romania Taken to Court Over Deadly Waste Pond
The European Commission is taking Romania to its Court of Justice over a deadly 102-hectare pond that holds waste extracted from the copper and zinc mines in Moldova Noua, which it describes as abandoned and dangerous.

Ponta: We shall earmark 50 million lei to flood-affected counties
The Government will earmark 50 million lei for removing the effects of floods in the Gorj, Valcea, Arges, Olt, Teleorman and Prahova counties, Prime Minister Victor Ponta announced on Thursday.
Victor Ponta also added that, if necessary, funds will also be approved for Timis and Caras-Severin counties, after some assessments are carried out first.
Free cruise instead of Boat Carnival
BELGRADE - The Tourism Organisation of Belgrade will organise free rides on tourist ships on July 5.
The Boat Carnival was previously announced for that day, but it will not be held because of the May floods in Serbia.

FM to attend third annual EUSDR meeting
BELGRADE -- First Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić will head the Serbian delegation at the Third Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR).
The meeting is taking place in Vienna Thursday and Friday.
