UN peacekeepers on the ethnically divided island of Cyprus are reportedly keeping a close eye on recent Turkish Cypriot activity in the buffer zone between the internationally recognized Republic of Cyprus and the Turkish-occupied north, following tension in August over Turkish Cypriot efforts to build a road traversing United Nations-controlled territory.

The longest line of soldiers of both sides of Pakistan and India are at the Wagah border crossing demonstrating power to each other with fast-paced marches and high kicks at both ends of the border to impress and scare the other side.

Two suspects got arrested in the morning hours on the crossing checkpoint "Bela Zemlja".
They were assigned police custody, Kosovo police stated.

Nearly a 4-kilometer long queue of cars was formed at Kulata border checkpoint. At Makaza border checkpoint, traffic is also intense on both sides - exit and entrance, the Border Police reported.

At the "Kalotina" border checkpoint, Lesovo border checkpoint and Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint the traffic is also increased.

This morning there is considerable truck traffic from Bulgaria on Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo checkpoints, Border Police said. Traffic through all other border checkpoints in the country is normal. Traffic data was reported as of 6 am.

As of 6.00 am, there is normal traffic on all border checkpoints, Border Police said.
Since 4.00 pm yesterday, the checkpoint of Kaynardzha remains shut down due to complicated meteorological situation.

The government took a decision to open the Krushari border checkpoint on the border with Romania, part of the bilateral agreement of 2012 for two new border checkpoints, the government press office said, reports Focus News Agency. 

The requests for which the trade union organizations in the Ministry of Interior are in a state of protest are not fulfilled. Following the program announced in June 2017, SPSMWR continues its protest action on December 22, 2017 - the professional celebration of officers at Border Police, which will be concentrated around the border checkpoints, reported by the SPSME, quoted by BGNES.

There is an 8-km queue of trucks at the border cross checkpoint Kapitan Andreevo at the exit from Bulgaria.

The queue at the Lesovo border cross checkpoint is about 2 km long.

At the Kulata border cross checkpoint, traffic is heavy but there are no queues, announced Border Police.
