Türkiye condemns Israeli raids in West Bank

Türkiye condemned the Israeli raids that killed at least nine Palestinians in the West Bank on Jan. 26.

"I condemn in the strongest terms the vile attacks of Israel, which trampled international law by murdering nine innocent people with its attack on the Jenin Refugee Camp," Parliament Speaker Mustafa Şentop said on Jan. 27.

Israel's new measures were announced in response to the escape of six Palestinians from the heavily guarded Gilboa prison in northern Israel.

Israeli court orders settlers to evacuate home

A court in Israel ordered settlers to evacuate a home in Hebron they had been living in since 2005 as an Israeli firm had not legally purchased it from its original Palestinian owners.

According to local media reports, the Jerusalem District Court ruled that the company used illegal means to purchase the house, which belonged to the Bakri family.

Israel frees Turkish dentist after three weeks detention

The Israeli authorities have released a Turkish citizen of Palestinian origin who was arrested by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank on Nov. 5, diplomatic sources have said.

Ahmad Abusalih, a 45-year-old dentist by profession, was arrested on his way to Jerusalem after attending a dental fair held in Ramallah, Palestine.
