After months of pressuring Greek politicians, Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem was under scrutiny himself Thursday over his handling of state-owned lender ABN Amro Group NV.
Dutch Rabobank receives green light to operate in Turkey
Turkeyâs banking watchdog has granted an operation license to the Dutch Rabobank group, paving the way for the lenderâs entrance into the Turkish banking sector.
The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) has permitted the Rabobank group to establish a deposit bank, according to a decision published in the Official Gazette on Sept. 9.

ABN AMRO pumps billions into shipping finance
ABN AMRO is pumping billions of dollars into its shipping finance business as the sector looks to recovery just as European rivals cut their exposure due to tougher capital constraints, the Dutch state banks head of shipping said.
ABN AMRO has tripled its ship finance portfolio to around $7-8 billion from $2.5 billion in 2009-2010, Gust Biesbroeck told Reuters.

Social-Economic Council backs government measures
BELGRADE - Representatives of employers and trade unions backed at Friday's session of the Social-Economic Council the measures of Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic's government aimed at getting the country out of the economic crisis.
It was agreed that Vucic be appointed to the Council, replacing Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government Kori Udovicki.
