Türkiye to update top secret security doc, reports say

Work is underway to update Türkiye's top secret national security document, colloquially known as the "red book," according to local media reports.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has instructed the security council MGK's general secretariat to take steps toward revising the document, often referred to as the "secret constitution," daily Milliyet reported on Feb. 29.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said yesterday that Türkiye is evolving from a regional force to a global power.

"With the help of God and the support of our nation, we have brought all those who oppose Türkiye to their knees. We have never backed down in the face of attempts to invade the country," Erdoğan said during a rally in southern Adana city on Feb. 25.

Erdoğan says gov't prioritizes employment, production

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reaffirmed his administration's commitment to prioritizing employment and production within Türkiye's economy, even amid a backdrop of regional challenges.

"We can never ignore the problems our people face in their daily lives... Inflation, which is the scourge of the world, also hurts us," Erdoğan stated during a rally in Balıkesir on Feb. 23.
