U.S. President Donald Trump said on March 5 he agrees with the decision to keep a military presence in Syria.       

The US president has called on European countries to pay their obligations to NATO.

White House national security adviser John Bolton had said previously Trump would meet Putin this week when he travels to Paris for the Armistice Day 100th anniversary.
