7.1-Magnitude Earthquake Hits China-Kyrgyzstan Border

In a seismic event that rattled the border region between Kyrgyzstan and China's Xinjiang province, a formidable 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck, leaving behind a trail of injuries and significant structural damages. The quake commenced at 02:09 local time, impacting a mountainous expanse in Xinjiang, with the seismic waves felt across the border in Kyrgyzstan.

4.9 Magnitude Earthquake in China

A 4.9 magnitude earthquake shook Hubei's China province, China's Seismological Center reports.

The quake was registered in Xiaogang City at 18:36 local time. The epicentre of the earthquake is at a depth of 10 kilometers.

There is currently no information on destruction and injuries.

Death Toll from New Nepal Quake Tops 40, Over 1,100 Injured

The death toll from Tuesday's 7.3-magnitude earthquake in Nepal has risen to at least 42 people, while more than 1,100 others have been injured, according to the country's Home Affairs Ministry.

The tremor hit less than three weeks after a previous quake near the capital Katmandu  left more than 8,000 people dead.
